Run-down pubs ; Spit and sawdust watering holes

The Royal Victoria in Maryport, pictured by me earlier today. It was not open at 9am when I passed by, but a Maryport resident I worked with told me that it used to open at 7am and there was always a queue outside.

I did go in there once and found it quite intimidating. The bar regulars laughed at me for ordering a cider. :wtf:

If you're going to play it out of tune, then play it out of tune properly.

We don't have pubs but we have nice shade trees. Also you can shoot guns which I believe is forbidden in pubs. :)

I do not live in Teesside, you cunt. :grrr:

The Saltersgate Inn near Pickering in N. Yorkshire used to be a great pub, but it went bust in the 2008 financial crash. It was left derelict for years, and despite many plans to re-open it, got pulled down in 2018. :(

The subtitle to this thread should have been 'spit and sawdust watering holes', not 'drinking holes'. I wonder why I wrote the wrong thing yesterday? Oh hold on, the Pinot Grigio...:faceslap:

Sort it please Dan.

Cheers. :drink:

If you edit the first post you can do it yourself. I am taking the daughter swimming now they've relaxed the lockdown restrictions.
