If you're going to play it out of tune, then play it out of tune properly.

The handbrake ratchet (arrowed) was worn and needed replacing. Unfortunately you have to dismantle half the car to get at it.

Don't bother. Just take the rusty pile of shit to the nearest scrap metal merchant. (Leave it outside their door)

That's an attractive wood dashboard. I hope you show us a photo when you get it reassembled.

Thanks.
I think I mentioned that a Morgan club came through the national park where I was working each year and I looked forward to seeing the autos and appreciate the work the owners had done to made them look so spiffy.

There were usually 20 or more Morgans coming into the park and I liked seeing them. We also got antique car clubs, or rather, an antique car club, because the elevation and steep road caused many to over heat and conk out. (The 1908 Harley M/C made it all the way - air cooled). Anyway, seeing the Morgans was nice because they USA never produced cars like MGs or Allards or Morgans. (I could only afford a 1955 Studebaker).

I bet they would be very desirable nowadays, they look like they'd be desirable in 1955. :)

I fought the law, again. Got caught by the police. They asked for my documents, and noticed i had trespassed 'borough', then proceeded to fine me.

It took some 15 minutes, then policewoman noticed my stepbrother is a colleague of hers. She ripped the report in front of me. Said, don't you ever do it again, son. I won't, of course. She sported a similar tattoo as methamphetamine junkies , though, weirdily. :shake:

Mine was the basic 4 door sedan - The Champion - and I paid $200 for it. It developed a hole in the floor and driving on a highway I ripped the headliner out and through it - in pieces - out the window... Nevada I think. It was blue like this one but it was pretty junky. Thanks for the picture of a nice one.
Studebaker went out of business about the mid-1960s.

Those British sports cars of the post war years right into the eighties were affordable for ordinary people and used to be owned and maintained by enthusiasts. The cheapest car that Morgan manufacture now costs £63,000, and extras can easily bump that up by another third. These are bought by rich twats who want to look as if they own a classic car but have no intention of getting their hands dirty.

As opposed to twats who buy a 1972 model and end up having to take it to bits every time the fucking handbrake needs adjusting.
