Complete Cocteau Twins collection. ; I want rid.

Now I've given up drugs the Cocteau Twins sound really shit. They sounded a bit shit before I gave up to be fair. Although I've got absolutely no recollection of buying them I've somehow got everything that they ever recorded. You can have the lot for £100. This is all I can afford to pay you as I'm on the dole. :(

I know my onions and your offer is way too low. Even the charity shops won't take this shit nowadays. You'd have to give me at least £200 to take these off your hands.

Thanks for the heads up Buys Curios, they still had a copy of Tishbite CD2, and they gave me £475 to take it off their hands. I was holding out for £500 but they were as deaf as a post.

I saw a complete set (vinyl + CDs of each item) put out for trash today, including the almost unknown Whispers of The Mountainous Tarns. It was with great pleasure that I watched them being thrown wholesale into the hopper of the garbage truck. To stand there and do nothing was a delicious experience.

Whilst I consider this overwhelming lode of "diamond cutter of excellence" music, I'd like to ask are there any articles of Elizabeth Fraser's underwear; and, if so, is there provenance?

Just goes to show what can turn up...alternative, and better quality recording of the L.A. Forum 04/04/1984 gig.

Those who are easily affected by music, try to stop yourself from quaking (in a good way) when she starts the "Silly silly saliva
Sassy shear near
She should've
She sighed the grove
Ska pop
Sa pum
Sa po" bit on Aloysius.

JEMS is pleased to reignite our Lost and Found Mike the MICrophone series,
presenting recordings made by legendary taper Mike Millard, AKA Mike the MICrophone,
best known for his masters of Led Zeppelin done in and around LA circa 1975-77. For
further details on how some tapes in this series came to be lost and found again,
as well as JEMS' history with Mike Millard, please refer to the notes in
Vol. One:http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-deta ... ?id=500680

Volume 16 is a special one indeed as it presents Millard’s excellent recording of
Cocteau Twins at the Forum on the Furry Blowdrops tour, a show made famous by the bootleg
Slaughter in the Air. As I began working on this project I did a bit of Internet
research, where it has been speculated that the Slaughter recording was a Millard
master, presumably based on its quality. To the best of our knowledge, previous DIME
torrents of Forum ’84 are vinyl rips of Slaughter and various other bootlegs sourced
from the same tape.

YouTube also has a second source of the show, vastly inferior in quality, but which does
include the opening song, “Wax And Wane” which is omitted from the bootleg sources.

Millard’s capture features “Wax And Wane,” and I assumed it had been cut for space on bootleg
vinyl. But when I did an A-B comparison in a couple of spots, I was surprised to learn
that Millard’s recording is not the one featured on Slaughter and is in fact a third
source. While I can’t say with certainty it is wholly uncirculated, it is surely new to
most and presents the best and most complete recording of this show to date. It offers
superior fidelity to Slaughter and is classic Millard in terms of clarity. There are some
potent whistlers present and close by, but thanks to mjk5510, we’ve tamed those for
maximum listening pleasure. Samples provided.

Furry Blowdrops is one of my favorite Cocteau tours, brilliantly mixing the art rock of the
Garlands records with a fresh take on the Treasure era and other contemporary goodies like
“Multifoiled" and “When Mama Was Moth” It sounds very fresh today.

Finally, cheers to the late, great Mike the MICrophone and to finding more lost tapes.

May he rest in peace, the tedious cunt.
