Southampton 0-9 LCFC - the biggest ever away victory in the 132-year history of the Football League :lcfc:

This morning on Mt Washington it's -12F with a steady wind of 99 mph with gusts up to 132 mph. The jet stream dips low over the area from time to time and this is an example. Brrr :D The highest wind gust this morning has been 151 mph.

It did snow over t’moor tops, but it’s turned back to rain and the roads are clearing.

Twice the cunts have used me as guinea pig and had me try out some previously impassable country lanes.

I keep thinking to myself how much prettier RM's snow scene with the vehicle tracks would be if a squashed cat was in one. It would add a bit more interest to the viewer than the mere snow and traveled road. :)

It gives the eye a diversity of things upon which to focus. All white is tough on the retina; something dark is actually healthful. :)

Wekweeti, Northwest Territories, Canada - -61F [this does not figure in any wind chill]

All of Canada from the Pacific Coast to the Atlantic Coast is expected to be below freezing the next few days.

No snow fell from our sky today, but the wind has whipped up and caused a lot of fallen snow in the fields and moors to drift across te roads. It has caused a lot of problems today. :wtf:

Note air ambulance as two vans collided head on as they hit a drift.

Blowing snow can block a road faster than falling snow based on my experience. In the mountains, wind hitting a gap in the mountains from the flat lands can bring huge amounts of snow up hill and when it reaches the top, drops the snow because the wind loses its venturi effect. In your case, I think the fences slowed the wind-driven snow enough for it to fall in the road, quickly blocking it. Several feet above the road there was probably white-out conditions which lowers visibility to about zero feet.
Hope no one was badly hurt.
