I did wonder whether Butch Cassidy has got it.

If you're going to play it out of tune, then play it out of tune properly.

There have always been some record labels like Chess that I'll buy regardless of whether I know the artist. Analog Africa is run by a crate digger from Germany who goes around Africa finding mostly forgotten music from the 70s and 80s. Each LP is beautifully packaged with exhaustive sleeve notes which are worth the price of entry alone - the Mogadishu one where he needed an armed bodyguard in Toyota Landcruisers is particularly hair raising. I've got four of these now and they're all belters.

Thanks for the link.

If you ever run into an album called "Kasongo - Modern Sounds of the Belgian Congo" you may want to buy it because it's really good.

My 'music room' is taking shape. Vintage Dansette for 45s, top knotch hi-fi system for LPs. Comfy armchair. Gig posters and framed photos and LPs on the walls. Several more to go up this weekend. LPs kept in wooden planters - so easy to see and flick through.
Happy days. :)

If you've got the space in your room, that looks like the way to go.
Question: Does the room have a door that only can be opened from the outside? You know, once you're led in and the door closes behind you that's pretty much where you stay until person - or persons - open it to let you out.

Southampton 0-9 LCFC - the biggest ever away victory in the 132-year history of the Football League :lcfc:

I see forlorn; I see despair; I see a disordered and sad mind; I see music as background noise to an aimless and unfulfilling life...Jeez, I may tear up :duh: :cry2:

I see a cassette recorder that was obsolete by 1981 and a Soft Cell 12". The Fall 7" and George Best by The Wedding Present offer hope, while the Don Letts LP is to be admired, but it's a sorry looking music room overall. Happy Jack I suspect is anything but happy. :(

I am afraid that your diagnosis is the correct one.

HJ needs kindness here on TF online; he needs support; he needs BOQ :)

That look in the photograph is EXACTLY what i am going for. A room stripped down and ALL about the music, hence the name. There will be no fucking carpet.

I love that room so you can both fuck off. :fu: You are probably just jealous because your missus would never let you have one.

New addition today - small beer barrels from my place of work to act as speaker stands. :)

As I said, it is taking shape ; a work in progress.
