FFS, here we go again.

Andrew Aldridge, 49, was driving an Arriva bus on Ness Road, Shoebury, when his wing mirror hit 17-year-old Sean Fischer in the head

What wing mirrors? Buses don't have wing mirrors or wings for that matter. The rear view mirrors are attached to the vertical pillars either side behind the windscreen.

He [Aldridge] kept on driving the bus despite protests from passengers

Well obviously. If he'd stopped, the whining cunts would have complained about him running late.

Sean was taken to hospital having suffered a dislocated knee, two broken toes and a gash on his head

The mirror hit his head. How the fuck does that dislocate a knee and break two toes. Clearly a dodgy claim is going on here.

His [Sean's] family later said he had been left “traumatised” by the incident and it would take him a while to recover

Does the simpering little tosser look traumatised?? :grrr:

Image :wanker:

And so yet another driver loses his livelihood through the interference of others. :(

Considering buses don't have wing mirrors a hell of a lot of people get hit by them. :wanker:

The rear view mirrors of tractor-trailers - lorries - in the USA have been used to murder highway patrolmen. They protrude 3 - 4 feet from the cab and a driver of a semi can hit a trooper talking with a motorist on the road shoulder. After market rear view mirrors are not regulated in most states and they can be lethal because they stick out so far.

Some departments are encouraging officers to approach a stopped vehicle from the passenger side as a routine precaution.

In all seriousness, we have some vehicles with non-standard nearside (passenger side) mirror arms which are way too wide and/or low. Great care is needed not to decapitate an oblivious punter standing at a bus stop.

Some vehicles are poorly designed and others have after market devices that present a clear danger.
If it's a public vehicle, it is not the driver who bought it.

No but it's the driver who drives it, so the blame will go there if any mishap should occur. :wtf:
