A person cannot tell a Snow Snake from the snow in which it lives and derives its nourishment. It's an embarrassment to zoologists and it's to their advantage to deny the SS existence. Some, however, realize that there's probably a Nobel Prize waiting for the first capture and proper scientific description of the beast and keep at it though the loss of life is significant considering the small numbers involved.
All the zoologists are males because - so I've heard - females feel that they have two cavities that are vulnerable to SS attack although such an attack has never been documented while there's copious documentation for standard SS mortality.
BOQ does not maintain a position on the Snow Snake question.

Southampton 0-9 LCFC - the biggest ever away victory in the 131-year history of the Football League :lcfc:

Isn't that one of those devices that determines how many pounds per square inch a car's body can take before it fails and all that's left are lumps of metal and shards of glass?
You get a handsome framed certificate showing the final result in both PSIs and Metric.
Nice to know.

You're thinking of a crusher FHC, Mrs RM's old car went to one of those last year. :(

Anyway she passed the MOT test with flying colours. The wag who tested her was going to fail her for the sticker in the back window. I had to remind him how desperately shite Middlesbrough FC were this season. He got the message. :radged:

Perfect colour coding imo. :)

Many thanks for the explanation :)

In West Virginia, these are only a dream but with all the steep mountain sides,it's child's play to let an unwanted vehicle bump and bounce it's way to its final rest at the bottom.

This is true: When we moved to Fancy Gap all the hollows had cars and old refrigerators (ice boxes) and other large items. Come the fuel crisis and metal shortage, people spent untold hours of labor bringing this detritis up to the road to haul to Galax where a temporary crusher was located - It went on for close to 6 months. The area was so poor selling this scrap steel netted them some spending money. (And, yes, commodity meat was handed out bi-weekly to those who qualified as well as cheese and flour)

Desperate measures for desperate times, FHC.

At least the crisis removed some scrap metal from the countryside where it should never have been dumped. :wtf:

The change was truly incredible. Wherever a road got close enough to a drop-off, cars and other heavy household appliances were thrown down the mountain. I don't think you could hire people to do what they did on their own for "free money." A few miles north in West Virginia, it was the same.
It beautified large areas...never should have been done in the first place and the "crisis" cleaned the mountains up in a way no government program could.
