That's unfair, all gyppos are dirty thieving cunts, though most these days are Paddys rather than traditional Indo-Aryans.

I found a small coil spring in my left sock, a couple of hours ago.

Instead of thinking about where it might have come from, i threw it instantly in the trash bin, in a fit of anger.

Some household appliance or another won't work the same again, i'm afraid. :duh:

It might be one of those 'wire worms' which are harmless (and useless); or, it might be a 'wirey puff adder' which is the world's smallest poisonous snake. They are not deadly to humans but the bite can fester, turn to gangrene, and loss of limb is the surgical sure - not pleasant. I think you did the correct thing by casting it from you and I recommend you think no more about it. You did good. :)

I gather from your use of an emoticon that you've never been to West Virginia, USA. :)
One needs to be careful in the woods of this, the country's most mountainous, state.

Never crossed 'the pond', and chances are i never will, and die confined in my wop village, courtesy this corona plague. :(

Are small coil springs a major issue nowadays, in southern Appalachians? :D

Coil springs? No, not if that indeed is what it was. I just wanted to inform you that what you found in your socket(sic) could have been a species of fauna displaced to Italia. I was trying to be helpful and forthright. :)

Thanks for the help, Father.

Italy is a whole different country, and continent, from America. Anyways, there are no life forms based on metal, as far as i know. :wtf:

Not sure what a socket is, i found the coil spring in my smelly left sock, thought i edited... Image

I failed to write clearly - sorry. These animals are not metal but they have a metallic sheen and can be mis-identified as an object instead of a living being. In Europe and most of North America, you don't have to be careful but in the southern mountains, especially at the site of corn whiskey stills, they have been reputed to exist. Ingestion of "corn squeezins'" is said to help overcome these twin menaces. :) :)
