It's perfectly simple, end the season now.

Liverpool are champions, Leicester will play in the Champions League, and Villa will play in the Championship. :)

I loathe the football as you know, so this news is fine by me, the longer they're off the better in fact.

However I note the Women's FA Cup and National League matches are still being played, quite rightly. You don't see the women footballers crying off sick just because of a small pandemic, which is heartening. I shall be cheering on the Sheffield Ladies who are away to the Middlesbrough Ladies on Sunday afternoon.

Football Focus was cut short today, but as they wanted to show some quality goals, they finished with highlights from last Monday night's game. :lcfc:

I learn from this month's When Saturday Comes that until recently the squad number 24 was rarely used by clubs in Brazil. This is because in Brazil 24 is thought of as being a "gay number".

I think this is quite right.

Great news for football fans, there's still Premier League action available for anyone interested in the Belarus competition.

Belarus Football Federation spokesman Aleksandr Aleinik said precautions were being taken to allow games to go ahead.

"We've taken all the measures recommended by the Sports Ministry. All those who are in contact with fans are supplied with gloves," he added.

While most European countries are quarantining their citizens and shutting borders, the president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, is not worried and has even suggested citizens drink vodka to combat the disease.

It's a win win - football and booze!

Now, do I support FC Slutsk or Dinamo Brest?

James McClean is fined two weeks' wages by Stoke City and deletes his Instagram account after posting an image of his home school 'history lesson' while wearing a balaclava to mimic the IRA.
