Moving story, great cinematography. Lollypop was pleasingly dirty, the all darkie stars less interesting and devoid of hilarious consequences.

Well wierd.

"Wallace und Gromit" - a German animation about a depressed man whose life has become humdrum.

Hilarious consequences nevertheless.

Natalie Portman is brilliant in this.

A woman goes for a drive with her husband through downtown Dallas. He's shot through the head and his brains end up in her lap with hilarious consequences.

Art Wankish Chinese conspiracy story

Not much of a fan of conspiracy stories, but this one has excellent cinematogaphy. First rate. It's shot in colour which gives the scenes greater impact.

Also the first 5 minutes or so are filled with really interesting J-pop music, but this dissipates into more conventional choir music until a section that is set in Wuhan which has The Chinese Way by Level 42. So visually and musically its pleasing for the most part but the story is a bit lame for me. Basically some slant-eyed bat eating cunts unleash a terrifying virus that threatens to engulf the world, killing millions in it's wake, with hilarious consequences.

89 minutes so it goes on a bit.

Fairly uncomfortable to watch in places (you might be able to guess which ones), but it's a good film. Some of it hits the nail right on the head, which must be jolly painful, but there are hilarious consequences.

Oh dear. Dreadful.

Trust me to fall for watching a Shawn Ryan film. He hasn't been in anything decent for years. I was enticed by the 6.6 IMDB rating.

I expect that the director had an Art-wank spacker film in his mind at the start. Unfortunately the art bit disappeared somewhere along the way and all we are left with is spacker wank.

11 minutes long as well. :(

Still incredible and heartbreaking. Still important. Still full of darkies and window-lickers. Still good to watch while impregnating Mrs Juicy. :)

Erika Magnusson and Daniel Andersson asked themselves where modern electronic gadgets come from. They conceived the idea to follow the production cycle of a pedometer in reverse chronological order from end sales back to its origin and manufacture. The route of the journey commenced in Stockholm, then proceeded through Insjön, Gothenburg, Bremerhaven, Rotterdam, Algeciras, Málaga, and finished in Shenzhen at the manufacturer in Bao'an, with hilarious consequences.

Very enjoyable, even though it's 35 days and 17 hours long.

What was the last film you saw pre, say 2000 (before I was born, but dad's film collection and what's on tv has informed me) that didn't have racial stereotypes?

Disney is strengthening their warnings about racial stereotyping in their films, but they'd hardly be the only films where that hasn't occurred, somewhere?

The people who are looking for which films need such warnings will have their work cut out...

Disney updates content warning for racism in classic films

If you're going to play it out of tune, then play it out of tune properly.

Of the 200 people who worked making this John Wayne Trash-fest, 92 died of cancer. Among the dead were Wayne, Haywood and Armendariz. The movie was filmed downwind from the Nevada nuclear open air A-bomb area where the USA bombed itself 91 times.
Wayne was a big fan of A-bombs and would often join the military to watch the explosions.
I got out in this area when the "downwinders" were coming down with cancer right and left and the last of the nukes were detonated.

Did any mutants breed in the area, like in the film The Hills have eyes?

Marvellous

Set on an isolated New England Island in 1980, a shitehouse keeper and his assistance descend into madness.

Shat in black and white and in 4:3, it's dark and atmospheric. Superb cinematography, sound and acting. Beautifully shit (the majority of the film is set at night, so it's mostly dark, with subtle lighting, and its always grey or pissing down in the few daylight scenes). Of note is that like Borat this film contains a wanking scene, with hilarious consequences - which is why some people may like it.

This Is The Life

Its a good film, but it could have been better if it was about an hour longer. (It's 174 mins)

Quite quirky cinematography, with super shots of the Welsh Mountains (and a few from up The Rhondda Valley that I've frequented).

Quite a few close up shots are from waist height downwards which was both interesting and titillating, but I found it a bit annoying that quite often the top of his head was out of camera, if you get my drift.

It's been dubbed a porn film, but it isn't overly so, in my opinion. It's more of a conscientious objector film with fanny and hilarious consequences .
