Floating Clouds by Mikio Naruse at a little art-house cinema in Camden. It was black and white in Japanese with no subtitles. I haven't got a Scooby what it was about but I think I got away with it by laughing and nodding when the rest of the audience did.

This was a bit explicit in places but I generally really enjoyed it.

I saw this in a small art-house cinema on the South Bank called BFI IMAX. It's a film noir classic about a seedy area of London in which this really hirsute guy, who I think is a drug courier, flies into London from South America and ends up in a squat with a load of dodgy characters. I didn't really have a Scooby what it was about but it was terrifically atmospheric.

This wasn't as good as Bad Boys II which wasn't as good as Bad Boys, but it was OK if you had a few beers.

The best things always happen by accident: I was diverted off the M1 in the home counties last night when I came across an art-house film club in a small village called The WI Film Night. The venue was a converted church in which, get this, they'd left all the original fittings such as the pews and the altar. All of the audience turned up in retro-clothing like tweeds and one guy even came dressed as a vicar. And what a film! It was Ken Russell times ten. Basically it's about a guy who wants have sex with a nun but the Nazis want him to run an element of their armed forces. Throughout the movie the cast sporadically break out singing these really strong Brechtian pieces. It's based in a wonderful alpine setting and shot in colour. Tell tell the truth I found the whole thing so intoxicating that by the latter stages of the film I hadn't got a Scooby what was going on. I simply have to see this again.

None of your arty rubbish for me. This was a proper film with proper actors and a beginning, a middle, and an end. I had my afternoon nap in the middle bit but what I saw was pretty good.

Good on ya fella, I know that one too, there's some right tasty Sheilas in it. That pizza delivery bloke cracked a fat a few times didn't he? The guitar soundtrack was ripper as well. :drink:

After my walk this morning I decided to download Troy with Brad Pitt. It was OK I suppose but nothing to write home about.

Troy is an anagram of Tory and anyone who watches a movie that's an anagram of Tory is a fucking class-traitor and a complete cunt. :grrr:

I'm a class traitor if it means leaving my roots in a council estate in Merthyr Tydfil, as my prolific and highly profitable career has allowed me to retire at 32 and advance to more pleasing and comfortable surroundings. Hence I drive a magnificent BMW, live in a reasonably large detached abode in the suburbs of a leafy Wiltshire town, and indulge in three or four foreign holibobs per annum.

In no way would I boast about this, my politics are still the same, Labour through and through me. Clearly I am the epitomy of Corbyn's dream. :)

Oh Theresa....

19 full length sex scenes on 4 hours? That equates to one full length sex scene every 12.631 minutes, and I'm sorry but in my experience and presuming we're including foreplay before and a cigarette afterwards, this is simply not feasable.
