What are you drinking? ; What's in ya glass?

Visited a pub called Harvester or something on the outskirts of Swindon today as it was a dull morning. Even though it's winter I love light summer ales and this one from Fosters is no exception. It obviously comes a local micro-brewery although the barmaid knew little about it, or anything else for that matter. It's absolutely a session beer as well as I was able to drink 15 pints of it with no discernable affect. This was just as well as I had a 5 mile drive home after. :)

Sexist words like barmaid will not be tolerated on this site. Use the gender neutral term 'bartender' in future.

After a long walk around the picturesque district of Toothill this morning I was feeling a little thirsty so a dropped into the local supermarket (which I think was called Litl) and asked the shelf stacker if he could recommend a light continental beer. He shrugged and pointed in the direction of some bottles of Paulaner so I bought 15 of them and went home for the afternoon to watch some films. One bottle led to another and before I knew it I'd consumed all 15 of the delicious wheaty beers. They wern't too heavy either and I was easily able to drive Slushdaughter to the station later. :)

After a another long walk down the canal yesterday I went into a pub which at first sight had a shocking real ale collection but if you scratched beneath the surface there were some gems to be found on the bottle shelves. I ended up drinking this German craft beer called Radler. It had a light zesty taste, almost a hint of lemonade. It slipped down really easily and I was able to drive home after 5 of them with no trouble whatsoever.

And once again Butch Cassady has to lower the tone.

I'm quite sure DJLash really enjoyed having his Dickins Cider, I'm positive I would, but no, yet more sexist tripe from the usual suspect.

Further warning to Butch Cassady

I've checked my spreadsheet and it seems 45 minutes of pleasure is more than a record for me.

This seemed like a good idea earlier today, back in stock at Lidl.

My head now says it was a fucking terrible idea.

I've been on the Creme de Menthe and I'm a bit pissed. Can anyone point me at the Fats Domino thread?
