Eyes of the world - Grateful Dean

It's not a huge impact yet but have keep moving to keep warm. The days of sitting on a park bench for hours pickin' and reading are nearly done.

I once saw some battery heated socks in a hardware store. Hmmm.

Eyeball in My Martini - Cramps

My favorite winter socks right now are Fox River extra heavy weight boot socks They are 84% wool and made in the USA. They hold up well and keep their shape and are ribbed so they stay high on your calf.

Abraham Martin and John - Dion

Those look interesting, available here on amazon. But it's amazon, maybe I can find them at a non tax evading place.

Ive tried pure wool, not a good option, they need a bit of nylon to keep their shape.

National election in two weeks here; watched last night's debate and hopeful the Tory bastard isn't doing very well.

Ham The Space Monkey - The Enchanters

I agree; sock need 3 - 5% nylon to hold their shape and some stretchy type fiber is you buy over-the-calf like I do. Amazon is not getting away with tax avoidance nearly as much as they used to and maybe not at all in Canada...don't know. All capitalist parties are foul, in my view, but the Torys are the worst. Good luck.

Hey little red riding hood - Sam the Sham and the Pharoahs

No sales tax on amazon so if you buy something it's 13% cheaper than at a proper store and nothing goes into the public purse. I don't know why it isn't criminal.

Ghost Riders in the Sky - The Ramrods

In the USA, most states now tax Amazon sales.
