I'm absolutely thrilled and excited that Cherry Red are reissuing this, and including all the Masquerade single tracks as a bonus. It's the LP that bought me to The Fall and is far better than Hex.

It's time Beggars stopped fucking about and reissued Bend Sinister, a far more important project than this nonsense.

This thread is all about what I want, so no, you are wrong.

Also @The Strange One, I have no interest in brickwalling, simply turn it down if it's too loud.

what are the odds of Cherry Red selling out of the LP edition before it's up on Action Records? I usually wait for them and the fallnet code.......

I shall be buying this, on vinyl of course. Remastered it will sound absolutely top grade, I don't think you can beat the sound quality that is produced on vinyl.

No this is untrue, I've never been one for vinyl as the sound is distorted due to crackles and pops. It's also a format that will deteriorate fast if not looked after impeccably. I've really got no interest in sound quality, and am quite happy ripping my music to 128kbps MP3's off Youtube. You can't tell the difference imo.

It would be pointless me arguing with you as you clearly have no perception or ear for what is regarded as good quality. If you think 128 kbps is listenable, you are seriously deluded. How can you appreciate the work that goes into recording music if you don't have the capabilities to hear it in it's full glory? I would have thought someone such as you who normally pays full attention to the finest detail would be right on the case with a subject like this.

My interest in music spreads much further than simply how good or bad it's sound quality is. For example, taking Levitate as the thread is about said release, I can tell you that Julia Nagle (now Adamson) who appeared on this record as The Fall's (then) keyboard player, was born on September 30th 1960. This was a Friday. It also makes her a Libran, I'm now wondering if there was another Fall member who was a Libran a few years later who played alongside Julia, and may have been MES' inspiration for 'Two Librans'? I shall now go off and research this thought.

I will leave my children a vinyl legacy worth many thousands of pounds. You will leave your daughter a hard drive. :)

My daughter loves my hard Never mind that, I have as I explained earlier, been researching to find any Fall members circa 1997-2000 who are, like Julia, Librans, thus providing a theory that Two Librans might be written about them sitting on a hill. There are none, so the notion is non-plausable.

I'm now tempted to split discussion about vinyl and other alternatives to another thread, but I can't be bothered.

I'm disgusted, disgusted I am! :grrr:

Cherry Red have nicked a load of photos I took on the USA tour back in '98 and used them for this re-package without telling me! Connor tipped me off (he's a chum).

CR have sent me vinyl and CD copies of this, but really Cherry Red, you're a bunch of thieving cunts.

I wonder if that cunt Connor shafted me for his own ends, he is in cahoots with these re-issiueing bastards after all.....
